San Diego Mission
San Diego Mission
This is my first black and white painting I ever did. It was actually a lot harder to paint then I originally thought because I had to individually mix each shade of grey just to get the right shade. This painting sits in my uncle’s house in San Diego.

Inspired by the San Diego Missions.
Port Hueneme
I made this painting from a photo I took around Christmas at Port Hueneme beach in Southern California. This beach is the beach where I grew up surfing, body boarding, and swimming on. It was a dangerous beach because of the swells and the ferocious rip tides that occur; yet, it’s still a beautiful beach.

Joshua Tree
Joshua Tree
This was my first painting on my own. It was on the way back to my house in the Mojave Desert when I looked back and saw this sunset. I just had to put it down on canvas so I went home and painted it that night. It is also the painting for Nature Back Home logo.

Aspen
This painting is my version of abstract painting. Believe it or not, the bright colors in this painting were exactly how I seen them when I was driving through Aspen Colorado in the middle of October. I think it is the most beautiful place on earth.

Arizona
Arizona
This was my second painting and was also a copy of a real photograph. I wanted to see if I could capture the realism involved with the colors and after a few touches of my own, including a crescent moon in the clouds, it worked. I was ready to begin painting my on my own.

My First Painting
This is David Stowe's first painting.
My First Painting
This painting was fun for me because I got the experience of using bright colors and getting creative with it. This painting is similar to the one I was copying; however, I added a few touches here and there. I surprised my mom with this painting and my dad had it framed and hung it above the family piano where it sits to this day.
